FC Barcelona’s temporary ice rink will be installed on the grounds of the UB sports complex

The University of Barcelona, European university futsal runner-up
The UB women’s team won the silver medal at the EUSA 2025 European University Championship, where they performed brilliantly. They remained undefeated until the final, where they lost to the team from Dragomanov University (Ukraine). Laia Rojo, top scorer of the tournament, and Laura Torres were chosen for the All-Star team.

Central American countries most affected by plastic bottle pollution
The UB, in collaboration with the Científicos de la Basura programme of the Catholic University of the North (Chile), is leading a regional study on the origin of plastic beverage bottle and cap pollution across beaches and coastal cities along more than 12,000 kilometres of Pacific coastline in 10 Latin American countries.
